A Visual Journey
Siew Fong was born in Penang, Malaysia, lives in Singapore, currently is s student at at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts pursuing her Diploma of Fine Art. She started to take up painting recently and now she is a full time artist. She is good in Chinese ink and western oil painting.

From her passion towards the arts, her persistence has allowed her to receive numerous awards. Some of the notable awards include: Tan Chin Tuan Merit Awards (2016/17), Tan Ean Kiam Arts Bursary (2017) and Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Arts and Cultural Awards(2016/17).
ARTIST STATEMENT
My artistic practice revolves around the exploration of my childhood memories. This came about by reminiscing on my childhood and discovering the concealed layers of how it affected my personality. I attempt to translate this concept memory into a three-dimensional form.
Balance and irregular texture is what makes up the formational components of my artistic articulation. I use clay to emulate the sense of peace and comfort I found as a child. Â This artistic exploration has been cathartic to me and has also enlightened me on a new perspective about art itself. My aim would be to hope that the viewers relate to my artwork and be encouraged to achieve a sense of clarity through the memory of their childhood
